SYSTEM OPERATION This is a totally unique "sealed" electronic system, impossible to circumvent. The system is continually armed by creating an open ignition circuit that disables the starting circuitry at the starter. To enable the Touch-Key model, simply touch the matching Coded Key to the Key Reader and the ignition start circuitry is activated. To enable the "Hands Free" Transponder model, simply start your vehicle. The Transponder attached to your key ring emits a signal and automatically reads your code. Both models can also be installed to protect the contents of your vehicle by sounding the horn or a siren in case of a break-in (may require additional installation labor, and may not be available from all dealers). With either model you will hear two beeps and the red LED will turn green. When you turn the ignition off, the system automatically arms in 45 seconds. If the system is tampered with, the horn will sound for 60 seconds as an added deterrent. Unlike any other system on the market, Power Lock is absolutely tamper-proof. The Power Lock system is permanently installed and becomes an integral part of the operations system of the vehicle. Power Lock does not interfere with the normal operation of the vehicle and can never inadvertently shut your engine off while driving. There is absolutely no way to wire around the system. Only Power Lock features a patented, fault-proof design that cannot be circumvented. Even if a thief removes the vehicle's battery, cuts or jumps any electrical wires or removes the system control unit, the vehicle still won't start! Your "coded keys" are mathematically impossible to duplicate! There is no battery to replace or software to become corrupted. Power Lock is always armed (on). 45 seconds after you turn off the ignition, the system will beep once and automatically arm. A red indicator light on the control unit and/or the optional Remote Reader / System Status LED will immediately begin to flash confirming that your vehicle is protected. 
TOUCH KEY MODEL OPERATION If ignition is turned to the "ON" position for more than 45 seconds before Power Lock receives a valid key read, the system will sound the horn. To enable starter (disarm), simply touch one of your "coded keys" to the System Control Unit or the optional Remote Reader / System Status LED. You will hear 2 short beeps and the LED status indicator will begin to flash green, confirming that the system has validated your key code. This system will remain enabled once the ignition is turned to the "ON" position. 
You have 45 seconds to start the vehicle before the system will automatically re-arm. 
VALET MODE To temporarily disable Power Lock for vehicle valet parking or maintenance, touch the reader with one of your "coded keys" TWO times within 5 seconds. The system will beep 3 times to confirm Valet Mode is active. System Status LED will flash red in valet mode even while the vehicle is running. |
